Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out for help here in the Community. The Projects feature is really great, and sometimes we want to add existing transactions to a newly created project. I'll help clear this process up for you.

Once a new project has been created, all you have to do is change the "Customer Name" on the Estimate, to the "Project Name".

If you have already created a project and want to move your sub-customer transactions:

    1. Select the project from the list to open it.
    2. Take note of the name of the Projects and main customer that you'd like to move the transactions to.
    3. Go to the sub-customer you'd like to move to the existing Projects.

    4. Select Edit.
    5. Replace the Display name as with the name of the Project that you'd like to move the transactions to.
    6. Select Save, you will get a prompt confirming if you'd like to merge the two, choose Yes.

For more information about the Projects feature, including more details about moving existing transactions into a project, check out this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Projects-FAQs/m-p/262152.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers!
