I emailed the invoice and then deleted it by mistake. Can I find it again?

Once an invoice transaction is deleted in QuickBooks Online (QBO), it is permanently removed from the customer profile, invoices, and all sales pages, and cannot be restored directly, Sandra.

However, you can still find details of the deleted transaction in the Audit Log. This feature keeps a record of all changes made, including deleted transactions, allowing you to reference it to recreate the invoice if needed.

To access the Audit Log, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon (⚙) at the top, then select Audit Log under the Tools section.
  2. Filter the log to show transactions:
    • For Events, select All Transactions.
    • For User, select All Users.
    • Set the specific date range in the Date Changed dropdown.
  3. Locate the deleted invoice and click View under the History column.

Take note of the invoice details (e.g., customer name, date, amount, items, etc.) and use this information to recreate the invoice manually.
