QuickBooks Online makes it easy to manage your invoice templates. I'll be happy to share more info about invoice templates in QBO.
While there isn't an option to create invoice templates using just product categories, there's a workaround you can use. You can design your own template in MS Word, and import it in QuickBooks Online. This way, you'll be able to import and keep different templates.
Here’s how:
Click the Gear icon.
Click QuickBooksLabs.
Go to Importstyles and click the switch button.
Here’s how to import style:
Click the Gearicon.
Click Accountsandsettings then click CustomFormStyles.
Click Newstyle and then choose Importstyle.
You can click Download a sample invoice, to get the acceptable file by QuickBooks.
After editing the sample file, you can browse the document and click Next.
Then QuickBooks will show you the status, if it’s accepted then click Next.
After the confirmation, then click Save and you can put the Templatename.
