I'm glad to see you here! QuickBooks Online has the versatility you need to enter a discount on your invoices or sales receipts. I'd be happy to help!
You can add a discount by an amount or a percentage. Here's how;
1. Open Settings ⚙ and then Account and Settings
2. Select the Sales tab
3. In the Sales form content section, click on the Edit ✎
4. Turn on the Discount
5. Hit Save and then Done
The discount option will display in the subtotal of your sales forms. However, the customer won't see it unless you enter a discount amount or percentage. You'll be able to add the discount to the subtotal of your sales as a percentage or amount, or you can add it as a line item so you can include a description. Adding it as a line item will only allow you to apply whole amounts rather than a percentage. Here's a helpful guide for your reference, to assist with creating a discount item and adding it to your sales form.
