Exporting data from QuickBooks Online is a great way to keep additional copies of your account information. I can appreciate that having the option to export different types of data like invoices would be helpful, however there are some limitations regarding what can and can't be directly exported. I'd be happy to explain further.
QBO offers tons of options for data export. Below is a list of everything that can be exported from QBO by clicking the Gear icon > Export:
General Ledger
Balance Sheet
Profit and Loss
Trial Balance
Journal
Customers
Suppliers
Employees
At this time, invoices aren't on the list of things that can be directly exported from your account. As a workaround, I'd suggest printing your invoices if you'd like to keep another record of them for your bookkeeping needs. You can print one-by-one, or print in a batch by checking off the desired invoices, then selecting Batch Actions > Print Selected.
I hope this helps you reach your goal. If you'd like to leave feedback regarding exporting invoices, you can do so by clicking the Gear icon > Feedback. Our product development team read these feedback notes daily, and we're always looking for ways to improve.
Have a great day.
