Question

When we create an Invoice from a Sales Order, the customer name does not come up on the Invoice. Address is there, but no name. How do we fix this?

Hello there, mbeaven.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the Customer's Name automatically appears on the invoice when created from a sales order. Since the address is already visible but the name is missing, this likely due to the customer profile setup or a browser-related issue. Here's how to resolve it.

First, let's verify the Customer Profile setup:

  1. Go to My Apps, select the Customers Hub.
  2. Then, click Customers.
  3. Locate the customer and click Edit. Ensure that the Display Name field is entered correctly.
  4. Then, click Save.

Then, if the Display Name is set correctly but does not appear, consider using another supported browser. It helps identify whether the issue is specific to your browser or related to QuickBooks, ensuring a clear testing environment.
