Thanks for reaching out. Being able to quickly access your transactions saves you time in the running of your business. I'll be happy to assist you with this.
QuickBooks Online makes it easy for you to search your invoices by number, date, customer name, or dollar amount. To search by invoice number, you simply need to go to the Magnifying Glass on the toolbar and enter the correct number of the invoice you want. If you're not able to locate that invoice, it could be that it was previously deleted from the system. To verify if an invoice was deleted, you can refer to the Audit log. Here's how to do that.
Select Settings.
Select Audit Log.
From the Filter ▼ drop-down menu, check off Transactions and choose deleted/voided transactions from the Show drop-down
If your invoice exists in the system with an invoice number and you're not able to search by number when going to the magnifying glass, it could be due to a browser issue. Temporary internet files that accumulate in your browser can sometimes cause bugs in the software. To ensure your browser or app is running the program as designed, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
