Can any additional performance information be included on the "Business Overview" dashboard including monies owed/,due in our VAT position, and values of stocks?

Allow me to respond to your concerns about QuickBooks Business Overview one at a time. This way, I can guide you accordingly.

Any amounts owing in your business can be found under Expenses on your Business Overview page. See the illustrations below for your reference.

For your VAT due, you can go to the Taxes page and review the status. 

I'd recommend running the Stock Take Worksheet report to review your value of the stock. Let me show you how:

1. Go to the Reports tab on the left side. 
2. Type the mentioned report in the search box and enter. 
3. Click the Customize button.
4. Under Rows/Columns, check the Cost box and other details. 
5. Filter the necessary fields and tap Run report.
