Thanks for visiting the Community today, @userjan1.
As an insight, Intuit Limited is a VAT registered in Saudi Arabia and UAE. Hence, we are required to collect value-added tax (VAT) on your QuickBooks Online subscription.
Since you have a VAT number added, you'll need to ensure it's verified successfully to avoid additional charges on your subscription.
I have a registered VAT number in Belgium (removed by moderator), there should be no VAT charged and the VAT number needs to be printed on the invoice.
I can route you to the right support team who can handle your subscription concern, @userjan1.
Subscription concerns need checking of your account. Thus, I recommend getting in touch with our live support. They can check the coding of your QuickBooks Online plan and provide more details on why VAT is added to your billing.
Here's how to connect with one of our representatives:
Click the Help (?) menu at the top, and then choose Contact Us.
If you're routed to the QB Assistant page, type Contact Us.
Select Talk to a human.
Click the Never mind option, and then choose I still need a human.
Select the Contact Us button.
Type your question or concern on the search box, like "Why I'm billed for VAT?"
Click Let's Talk.
Select either the Get a call or Start messaging option.
Complete the required details, and then follow the on-screen steps to proceed.
Meanwhile, you can go to the Taxes page to review the status of your returns and payments. You can also pull up VAT-related reports from the View reports drop-down.
Keep in touch with me if you have more questions about managing your account or any QuickBooks-related. I'm here to help you.
