QuickBooks Online enables you to record your business expenses seamlessly. Getting an 'invalid' error when selecting the associated sales tax, can be concerning. I would be glad to help!
I suggest reviewing your sales tax, to ensure it's been set up properly. You can follow the steps here. Proceed to the bill you've created and be sure to enter the sales tax code for each line item, by using the ▼ dropdown menu. You'll need to select a sales tax code for each line you enter, otherwise QuickBooks won't allow you to save the bill. If you're not sure which tax code to select, please review our Common sales tax codes.
