how do I change my sales tax amount from 5 to 6 percent For the life of me I can't remember how to do it

Hello, Tjguthro. Changing a sales tax rate depends on how that rate is determined. If you are using Automated Sales Tax, the system calculates the rate automatically based on location, so you don’t need to manually adjust the percentage. Additionally, please note that default system rates are locked and cannot be modified.

 

If this is a manually created rate, go to All Apps > Sales Tax > Manage Sales Tax and select the 5% rate to edit it. If the system doesn't allow you to change the percentage (usually because it has been used on past forms), the best approach is to create a new 6% rate and make the 5% rate inactive. This ensures your historical records remain accurate while the updated rate applies to new sales.
