How do you delete "Group Rates" sales tax? (Under Manage Sales tax) I tried to create 8% PST Ontario tax but somehow I ended up creating "Group Rates" tax instead.

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online is a dynamic accounting program that allows you to complete your daily tasks with peace of mind.  Managing your sales tax can be done with ease.  I'll be happy to help!

In QuickBooks Online, there currently isn't an option to delete a sales tax rate.  However, you can make them inactive to hid the rates from the sales tax menu when creating transactions.

Here's how to make a sales tax code inactive;

1. Open Taxes from the left menu and then Sales tax

2. Select Manage sales tax

3. From the Tax agencies tab, locate the agency associated with the tax rate you need to make inactive

4. In the Actions column next to the sales tax rate, select Make inactive

You're ready to add a new sales tax rate.  Here's a helpful guide for future reference, if you'd like to reactivate the sales tax rate.
