HST Refund on Balance Sheet is 23,994.89 as on March 31-2019 . However on Sales tax return it is showing ONLY 9774.92. Call center executive unable to help.

First off, your Balance Sheet report will only show two default accounts for your sales tax. These accounts are GST/HST Payable and GST/HST Suspense accounts.

Thus, reviewing the details of your HST Refund account from your Balance Sheet helps identify if it's a manually created account or not. Here's how:

1. Go to Reports.
2. Select your Balance Sheet report.
3. Find your HST Refund account.
4. Click the amount to show the list of your transaction.

After reviewing the transactions of your HST Refund account, you can either edit or your transactions. Also, I'd recommend contacting your account so he/she will help you handle this account correctly.

But if your HST Refund account is a refund you received from your state agency, you can manually record it into your account. Let me show you how:

1. Go to Taxes.
2. Find your sales tax return that has been filed successfully.
3. From the ACTION column, select Record payment.
4. Choose your bank or credit card account.
5. Under Payment type, select Refund.
6. Select the payment date you filed your sales tax return.
7. Enter the amount of refund you received.
8. Click Save.
