Each transaction you record is tracked independently by the sales tax centre. This helps us accurately track returns, and makes it possible to automatically include exceptions. To record a payment in QB Online, follow the steps below:
Click the Taxes tab and select Sales Tax.
For a filed return, click on the dropdown action arrow and select Record Payment or Record Refund.
