I have made a GST payment via my broker. Where am I recording this on Quickbooks?

It's great you're using QuickBooks to streamline your business and keep track of your GST payments. I'd be happy to give you a hand so you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

 

Each transaction you record is tracked independently by the sales tax centre. This helps us accurately track returns, and makes it possible to automatically include exceptions. To record a payment in QB Online, follow the steps below: 

  1. Click the Taxes tab and select Sales Tax.
  2. For a filed return, click on the dropdown action arrow and select Record Payment or Record Refund.
