Question

where did the tax code option go? I used to be able to drill down on an account in the P&L and then add "tax code" so I can see each tranx tax code province

Hi there, ann98. The Tax Code column in QuickBooks Online Canada disappears from the Profit and Loss drill-down view because the report has switched to a modern view or the column has been deselected in the customization settings.

Since you are already familiar with adding a Tax Code in the Profit and Loss Detail Report, we can switch the report from Modern View to Classic View to add the tax code again.

Here's how:

  1. Go back to the Profit and Loss report page.
  2. Click the three vertical lines in the upper right.
  3. Choose the Switch to classic view.
  4. Drill down into the transactions and customize.

Please see the screenshots for your reference.
