I need a record of my W2 to file for tax return how do I do that?

Hello, JRA. You can get your W-2 form through QuickBooks Workforce. Just log in to your account at workforce.intuit.com, then head to the Documents section and select either W-2s or Shared Documents to view, print, or download your forms. Make sure you've accepted your employer's invitation and linked it to the same email address that received the invitation.

 

If, by chance, the QuickBooks Workforce leaves you empty-handed, your employer’s payroll or HR team is the next best place to check. You may ask them when and how they issued your W-2. If it got mailed to an outdated address, the post office might’ve sent it back.

 

If, after all that, you still don’t have your W-2, it's time to let the IRS step in and handle it from here. They will be the ones who will contact the employer on your behalf to request the missing form and may provide you with Form 4852 and further instructions.
