Question

One employee not getting W2 online.

We have one employee who cannot see their W2 online.  They receive the email notification stating their W2 is available online.  They can see all of their paystubs online.  When they go to documents, the last 4 years' @W211 all say "We don't have this W-2 yet.  We're not quite sure what the issue is. Contact your employer for more info."

I understand how important it is for your employee to be able to access their W-2 documents without any issues. Let’s work together to get this resolved.

 

If your employee is having trouble viewing their W-2 in QuickBooks Workforce, they may need to verify some personal information, such as their phone number, as part of the security process. Advise them to follow the prompts in Workforce to complete this step.

 

If they’re accessing Workforce via a web browser, we recommend trying the QuickBooks Workforce mobile app for a better experience.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Tap Taxes or More, then select W-2s.
  2. Click Download, then press the W-2 you want to view or print.

 

If they still can’t access the W-2, you can provide a manual copy as a workaround. Simply print or email the W-2 directly to them from your QuickBooks account to ensure they receive the information on time.

It turns out HR added a period to the end of my last name.  I'm not sure why it only affected my W2s and not my paystubs.
