Sales Tax Agency not populating

QuickBooks Online (QBO) compiles a list of agencies and locations for selection.

The City of Omaha is located in Nebraska, and you can select it as your Sales Tax Agency. We recommend that you first check with your tax agency to determine if Omaha is a separate agency responsible for tracking funds individually and whether it operates as its own entity.

Once confirmed, to create a combined rate with separate agencies, we first need to establish each agency as a single custom rate before it can appear in the combined rate dropdown.

To do that, we can create the Omaha City agency as a single custom rate first:

1. Go to  Sales Tax, then choose Sales Tax Settings.
2. From the Add agency dropdown, select Add custom rate
3. Tick Single (not Combined).
   
   
   
4. Enter the Omaha City 2.5% occupation tax details with its own agency name (e.g., "City of Omaha")
5. Save this single rate.

Once done, you can now proceed to setting up the combined Sales Tax Rate if necessary.
