Can I stop QBO changing the VAT figure on purchase invoices and to simply copy it? I have invoices with multiple items and often the VAT is out by pennies?

Hi carolemoldbookke, thanks for your clarification. It isn't possible to stop VAT from auto-calculating in QuickBooks. VAT will be calculated based on the VAT code and line amount for any transaction that is entered manually or imported.

Hello Carolemoldbookke, thanks for posting on the Community page, you can enter the vat number in the vat box above the total box on the bottom right hand corner of the page.

Thank you Ashley, but my point is about the amount of VAT that is automatically calculated by QB.  I have a purchase invoice with many items listed and the VAT is out by 2p,  I want to know if it is possible to stop QB automatically calculating the VAT after I have uploaded the information through AutoEntry.
