Equals spreadsheet upload

I have monthly equals Excel spreadsheet that I wish to enter into QuickBooks as a journal entry. Is there a way this can be imported or will I have to enter each line in manually?

Is this the way most record business card transactions - through journal entries?

thanks

Hello karlie79, thanks for posting on the Community page, you can try import them in via the main cogwheel>import data> Journal Entries ( we would advise you look at the import guide first so that you get it all correct ready to be uploaded), if this doesn’t work for you then it is a case of having to manually enter each line onto the journal.

Hello there,

I work for a small charity and we use equals for organisational purchases for which we create individual UK QBO cheque's. If I download and clean up the csv file from equals, is there a way to bulk upload cheques (less than 500 per month) to Quickbooks? We do not need to work with VAT

Hi there, @BenPainter. While we're unable to import or bulk upload cheques, you can instead get around this by uploading your CSV as a bank transaction instead. And as long as your CSV file is formatted correctly, your data will upload successfully.

After that, you can Match them to any cheques you've already entered manually to prevent duplicates. Otherwise, you can Categorise or Post them directly to your books from the banking page. For any purchases that need to be spread across different categories, use the Split feature on the banking page.

Beyond that, if you'd prefer to keep the transaction type as a cheque rather than a general bank transaction, you can use a third-party tool. It’s the most efficient way to bulk-import hundreds of entries while ensuring the data stays perfectly accurate in your records.

Hi,

I use Equals in sterling & euros and upload a csv downloaded from Equals then I sort in to currencies in Excel, then in Quickbooks>Transactions > link account > Upload from file. Then treat entries as usual bank feed. Generally post about 200-250 transactions a month.
