Hi,i cant seem to link paid invoices to bank account to record payment. nothings shows up in transaction to link. any ideas why this is?or how to sort it?

Normally, if paid invoices cannot be linked to the bank account, Viburnum, it is likely because the transactions have not yet been downloaded or imported from the bank into QuickBooks Sole Trader, or the issue could be due to an incorrect date filter.

To resolve this, let's review whether the transactions appear in the Bank transactions tab. If they're not showing, this could explain why you can't find a transaction to link to the invoice payment. If this is the case, navigate to the Transactions menu, then go to the Bank transactions tab, and click the Refresh button. This will prompt QuickBooks to load the transactions from your bank and allow you to link an entry to an invoice.

However, if the transactions still don't appear after clicking the Refresh button, you'll need to download the transactions directly from your bank and manually upload them to QuickBooks. If you're in a hurry, here's how:

1. Navigate to Transactions in the left-hand menu bar.
2. Open the drop-down menu under New Transactions.
3. Select Upload Bank Transactions, and upload your transactions using a CSV file.

Once the transactions have been uploaded, return to the Invoices tab, record the payment, and select the bank account where the invoice payment is recorded. If the bank transactions still don't appear, click the Sort and filter button to set a specific or custom date range. Start by entering a date in the From field and an end date in the To field. Once done, click Apply. This will filter and display the transactions, allowing you to link them to an invoice.
