I have had three accounts connected to Quickbooks for more than a year. All transactions of all accounts were imported correctly and the administration was up to date. Then I closed one of the accounts. And now all previous transactions of the account that I closed are no longer showing in Quickbooks. How do I solve this?

You can get in touch with our Live Support team to recover those transactions, NicoleO.

Please note that closing a bank or credit card account linked to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) will result in the permanent deletion of all associated transactions. This action is irreversible, and once the account is closed, the data cannot be restored.

To recover your bank data in QuickBooks, I recommend reaching out to our support team for assistance. Follow the steps below or use the direct link provided:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Click the Help (?) icon.
  3. Scroll down to select the Contact Us button and follow the prompts.
  4. You will be able to request a callback or start a live chat with an expert.

On the other hand, you can download the transactions from your closed bank as a CSV file. Then, import it into the program. Here's an article about this for more details: Manually Import Transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.
