I have updated my quickbooks to buisness but i need to transfer all my original invoices over to the new system how do i do that?

Did you recently upgrade from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online? Did you use the built-in upgrade option within QBSE, or did you start a brand-new, separate QuickBooks Online subscription? If you used the internal upgrade process, you can either automatically transfer your existing data or start fresh.

If you have opted to Start Fresh or initiated a new subscription plan, you can migrate your invoices via a CSV file. To ensure a successful import, your spreadsheet must follow specific formatting requirements, like the Invoice Number, Customer Name, Invoice Date, Due Date, Item Amount, and Item Tax Code. Once it's ready, here's how to upload them:

1. Click the Gear Icon, then select Import Data.
2. Choose Invoices from the list.
3. If you have new clients or items, mark the checkboxes to add new customers or products and services that don't already exist in your new QuickBooks account.
4. Select Browse, find your spreadsheet, and select it.
5. Click Next.
6. Match your spreadsheet column headers to the QuickBooks fields. Ensure all fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mapped correctly.
7. Select the Date format you used and your tax option.
8. Tap Next.
9. Align the tax codes from your spreadsheet with your active QuickBooks VAT codes, then click Next.
10. Check the import summary for any errors. If the data is accurate, select Start import.

Review the import summary and click OK. If any errors occur, QuickBooks will identify the affected invoices and provide a reason for the failure, allowing you to fix and re-upload them.
