I’m trying to review my transactions on the app and want to attach a receipt which I already have saved on my phone as a document. Is there a way to do this please?

Yes, you can attach a receipt you've already saved on your phone using the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks using the mobile app.
  2. Go to the Menu (located at the bottom), then select Expenses & Bills.
  3. Choose the expense or bill where you want to attach the receipt.
  4. Tap the plus (+) icon (inside the green circle at the bottom).
  5. Select Add notes or attachments.
  6. Choose Photo, Choose from Library, or File, then locate the receipt on your phone.

 

Note: The steps above were taken on iOS and work similarly on Android. On Android, step 4 uses the Pencil icon and step 5 uses the camera icon.

 

Alternatively, if you have a copy of the receipt on your computer, follow these steps:

 

  1. Open a supported web browser and sign in to QuickBooks at qbo.intuit.com.
  2. Select your company, then find the transaction in the Expenses section.
  3. In the Action column, click View/Edit for that transaction.
  4. Click Add attachment and select the receipt on your computer.
