QBO - Shopify Connector App Transactions - Payout Showing Wrong Currency

Hi,

 

I've connected QBO to my Shopify store using the native Intuit Connector, the majority of the integration has gone smoothly however me, nor my accountant can seem to get the currency to show correctly in the app transactions list.

 

The store is a single currency (GBP), payouts are in GBP and CoA in QBO is setup as GBP, however the Gross/Net amounts showing in the "For review" reports are showing as $xx.xx for example, even though the transaction value itself is correct - I.E showing as $69.99 for a £69.99 transaction.

 

When reviewing the "Shopify details" of each transaction, the currency does seem to show correctly as GBP.

Is this a configuration error, or a glitch in the connector? I could not see any options on initial setup to choose a base currency, presuming it would take the Shopify store currency or CoA.

Welcome to the Community forum, motorsport. Let's work together to ensure your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online are displaying GBP instead of USD.

 

To begin, we'll review the home currency you've set up in QuickBooks. Follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. In the Currency section, review the home currency and it must be shown as GBP-British Pound Sterling not USD-United States Dollar.

 

If your home currency is set to USD, you can change it yourself only if the Multicurrency feature hasn't been activated in QuickBooks Online. However, if the Multicurrency feature is already been enabled, the home currency  cannot be updated. In this case, you would need to delete all your data and start over from scratch.

 

Alternatively, if the home currency is correctly set up as GBP but your bank transactions are still not showing the correct currency, I'd recommend contacting our Live Support team. They can further review your set up and provide guidance on changing the currency for your bank transactions.
