Question

Recurring Monthly invoices, priced per day.

How do I set up a recurring monthly invoice where the amount invoiced depends on the number of days or weeks in that calendar month?

I wish to invoice for a weekly rate with invoices produced on the first of the month.  This means that Febuary would have a lower invoice amount, or less units than December.

The recurring transactions feature in QuickBooks Online is designed for charges of the same amount. If the amount changes regularly, you can instead set the template Type as Unscheduled. This way, the transaction won't be sent automatically, and you'll be able to edit the amount before sending. The template can then be used when needed by going to the Settings wheel > Recurring transactions > Select the drop-down in the action column > Use.
