Upgrade Issue - Past Paid Invoices now showing unpaid.

I’ve just upgraded to sole trader plus from self employed for MTD. The upgrade happened, got an email saying it was done and logged in to the account and I’ve got 1000’s of previous transactions now showing as unpaid.

Anyone else had this and found a fix?

Support are saying wait 72 hours, which won’t do anything other than delay me fixing the problem.

Hello there, Foxedup. I hear you and it can be disruptive that you're seeing the invoices reverting to becoming unpaid after migrating to QuickBooks Sole Trader Plus.

QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is structured differently from Sole Trader Plus, which means that payment transactions often need to be manually relinked to their corresponding invoices to mark them as paid.

Currently, the most direct way to fix this is to manually record invoice payments by referencing your previously downloaded QBSE reports. However, given that you have thousands of transactions, doing this manually is a significant task and prone to error.

The 72-hour wait mentioned by support is the standard time it takes for the migration backend to fully sync and potentially update those invoices to reflect payment automatically.

For now, I recommend logging out and then logging back in to check if the payment data has completed migrating to your new account after the 72-hour mark.

If the status hasn't changed or you need an immediate update, I suggest calling support again to inquire about any known issues or updates. To determine the best time to call, please refer to how to get help with QuickBooks.
