QuickBooks relies entirely on data sent from your bank, so temporary connection hiccups can delay your updates. Forcing a refresh makes QuickBooks sync with your bank and pull in the latest data.

You can follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon, then select Manage accounts.
  3. Click Refresh all.

If that doesn't pull in what's missing, take a quick look at your bank feed filters and date ranges in the Transactions tab and set them to All. Clearing these filters uncovers hidden entries.

It's also worth checking your bank's side for any ongoing maintenance or notifications. Banks sometimes block data-sharing connections in the background even when QuickBooks shows everything is fine.

In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions using a CSV file and categorise them to keep your records accurate. Just keep in mind that manually added entries can sometimes create duplicates if your automatic bank feed catches up, so you have to exclude them later.
