Question

Can transactions be flagged as being included in a VAT return so that when / if I have to post earlier transactions they will be picked up in later VAT returns?

Hello bugbrookemp,

Thanks for your post.

There's currently no way to view that a transaction has been included in a VAT return without checking the VAT return details itself (Taxes > Select drop-down beside return > View VAT details), however, any transaction containing VAT which is added with a date prior to the end date of the last filed return in QuickBooks will automatically be included in the current open return as an exception.

You can view exceptions by selecting the drop-down beside the return > view exception details.

Please get back to us below if you have any questions on this 🙂
