Question

Hi. I've recently gone over the £85000 threshold for VAT for the first time. How can I use quickbooks to help with my VAT return and also to claim back vatable expenses?

Hello rplatford!

Thank you for taking the time to post today.

I assume that you've already entered your transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), and you're done categorising them.

With the data you entered and categorised, QBSE can help you assess your taxes. It provides data that you can use when you fill out your tax form, and you can also share it with your accountant. Please refer to this article: How to use QuickBooks Self-Employed reports to fill in your tax return.

If you have other questions, please let me know.
