How long do you wait to see if this quickbooks has actually submitted my vat return ? It's been at least 15 minutes

I'd be happy to help guide you on how to view the VAT return that has already been submitted to HMRC from QuickBooks Online (QBO). 

After submitting the VAT return, you can click on the drop-down arrow against the return to view your reports. You will now see Approved by HMRC in the top left hand corner.
