QuickBooks Online is fully Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliant, allowing you to keep digital records and submit VAT returns directly to HMRC. To further confirm your MTD compliance, check your settings and ensure the digital link is active.

Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon, select Account and settings, then open the Advanced tab.
2. In the Making Tax Digital section, check whether the HMRC connection is turned On.
3. If the connection is off, click Edit, choose Learn how to connect, and follow the instructions in the pop-up window to set up your MTD.
