Question

Our last VAT return has not shown on our bank account here in the UK

It always pops up three days later after we do a return only this time is has not and has been weeks.

Welcome to the Community page, is your bank all updated in Quickbooks if not can you click on the update button, so it brings though all your recent transactions.
