Let’s delete and recreate the invoice to isolate this issue. I’d be glad to guide you how.
Open the Invoice.
Click More from the bottom part of the invoice.
Select Delete.
Then create an invoice again. If the issue persists, I recommend accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account via a private or incognito window. Then, create an invoice from again. Here are the keyboard shortcut keys in opening a private window:
For Safari browser: Command + Option + P
For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
If the VAT shows and calculating while using a private window, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Stored cache causes uncommon behavior to you the browser. Cleating its cache is a quick fix.
You can also use other supported browsers to see if this is a browser-related issue.
Let me also add the article as a reference when you’re ready to submit your VAT return. This link can you through the whole process: Submit a VAT return in QuickBooks Online.
You can always get back to me whenever you have other questions or concerns about managing your invoices in QBO. I’ll be more than happy to assist you anytime.
