How do I switch back from the new QuickBooks Online interface, or make the new layout easier to work with? |
There isn't a broad option to switch the whole interface back to the old version right now, that option isn't something you can request or turn on yourself. What you can do instead is customize what you see and send feedback through the channel that actually reaches the product team. One more targeted fix below if your specific issue is with customer statements.
Customize your homepage and workflow
Rather than a full revert, this lets you rearrange and highlight the parts of QuickBooks you use most, which can offset some of the friction from the redesign. Details: Get started and adjust settings after you sign up for QuickBooks Online.
Statements not showing older unpaid invoices
- When you create the statement, choose the Open Item statement type.
- Set the Start date field far enough back to cover the older unpaid invoices you need included, then set the Statement date and End date, and Save and send.
Open Item lists all unpaid invoices from whatever start date you set through to the present. Note: this statement type used to run on a fixed 365-day lookback from the statement date rather than a date you set yourself, so if you've used it before and it behaved differently, that's a recent change, not something you're doing wrong. See Create and send customer statements in QuickBooks Online.
If the new layout freezes or won't load properly
- On the web, clear your browser cache and cookies.
- In the mobile app, clear the app cache (or sign out and back in). A common cause of a broken-looking new layout is stale cached files.
Tell us what isn't working
- Select Settings, then Feedback, describe the exact change, then select Next.
- If the in-product Feedback link doesn't respond, clear your cache and try again, or post it at the QuickBooks Online feedback site (feedback.qbo.intuit.com).
If you tell us the specific screen that got harder, for example invoicing steps, the mobile app, or a report, we can point you to the exact fix or make sure that detail reaches the product team with your feedback.
