I can't connect to my Citizens bank account for the first time.  I'm never redirected when I reach the redirect window.  What can I do?  I have tried clearing the browser cache and going incognito with no success.

Hi there, Andrew. We can visit your bank's website to check for possible system updates and manually upload your transactions to get them available inside QuickBooks.

Reviewing the financial firm's official website helps us verify system maintenance, which can cause bank connectivity to fail. You'll want to log in to your account and check the notification icon for updates.

In the meantime, you can still get your data into QuickBooks without the live link. Here's how:
 

  1. Download a CSV or QBO file of your transactions directly from the Citizens Bank website.
  2. Go to All apps and then Accounting tab.
  3. Select Bank transactions.
  4. Click the dropdown next to Link account and select Upload from file.

I have a business account and a personal account at the same bank and the accounts are linked. 

I'd like to have a separate QuickBooks account for each one but when I first tried to set that up, I told me I had reached the liimit of accounts to add (even though I was trying to set up a new account. What kind of QB account do I need to have to be able to use the same bank, but different QB accounts?

Hello Renee, you don’t need a special QuickBooks Online plan to manage your two bank accounts in separate company files. The setup is one company file for your business and another for your personal account, with each company requiring its own subscription.

 

When you see the error message, is it appearing while you’re creating a new company file, or later when you’re trying to connect the other bank account? If the message appears during company setup, the best next step is to contact our live support team so they can look into the cause of the issue.

 

Please note that some banks may restrict the number of QBO companies that can connect using the same online banking login. Since your business and personal accounts are linked under one bank login, this may prevent both companies from connecting separately. It may be helpful to check with your bank to confirm their policy.

So Frustrated!

My American Express bank feeds refuses to download new transactions.  I did everything the support portal recommended. I updated Quickbooks, deactivated American Express, reset it to bank feeds... again, It still won't work.  To save time, I downloaded a QBO file and imported it.  It is saying the transactions have been imported but they are nowhere to be found.  I am using Enterprise...Help

I understand your frustration. Please visit your bank’s website to check for possible system maintenance or notifications that may require your attention.

 

To find your missing imported transactions, go to All apps > Accounting > Bank transactions, and review the blue account tiles at the top of the page. Click directly on the tile for the account you selected during import. You can then view any missing transactions under the For review tab.
