Where are Tasks and Reminders in the new QuickBooks Online experience, and can I add them back to my Home page?

The new QuickBooks Online experience seems to be missing the Tasks and Reminders widgets.  I use this everyday.

Does anyone know where to find them?  They were on the Home screen.

Tasks and Reminders moved out of the Home page widget area in the new experience and now live in the clipboard icon in the upper-right corner of your screen. The Tasks widget isn't available to add back to the Home page, so the clipboard panel is the main access point going forward. Here's where each piece lives and how to get there fast.

Find your tasks and actionable reminders

  1. Select the clipboard icon in the upper-right corner of any QuickBooks Online page. This opens the Tasks panel, which shows overdue invoices, upcoming bills, and recurring transactions set to Reminder type that are due.

Find your recurring transaction reminders

  1. Select Settings (the gear icon), then Recurring Transactions.
  2. In the top-right corner of the Recurring Transactions list, open the Reminder List dropdown. This filters to show only your transactions set to Reminder type, so you can see what's due and choose to create, edit, or skip each one.

Get to Reminder List in one click (Bookmarks workaround)

  1. Open the Bookmarks panel, then select the pencil (edit) icon in the top-right corner of the panel.
  2. Find Reminder List in the list and select it, then save. It will now appear in your Bookmarks for quick access without going through Settings each time. (This workaround was discovered by users in this thread.)

If your previous tasks or reminders aren't showing up

If you had tasks that lived in the old To Do widget and they're not appearing in the Tasks panel, that may be because the free-form to-do-style task feature works differently in the new experience. Contact support and let them know which tasks are missing so they can check your account. In the meantime, use the clipboard Tasks panel for financial reminders and recurring transaction due dates.

Note on the Home page: the Tasks widget is not on the Home page widget customization list. If you'd like it added as a widget option, send that request through Settings, then Feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to share a screenshot, lfigarelli1.

In the new QuickBooks Online (QBO) interface, you can find Tasks and Reminders in the upper-right corner of your screen by clicking the clipboard icon

I was on the phone with Jose for 45 minutes trying to figure this out.  None of my tasks or reminders show up! But they are still there in the previous view as you can see in the picture I attached. How can this be fixed without me having to manually enter them?

I am also unable to add the task widget to my dashboard as it's not on the customizable list.  I sent a feedback form to the IT group requesting they add this.  I was told by the customer service rep that they do not respond to these requests, but fingers crossed they resolve this before the old version is shut off mid-October.  I won't hold my breath though.

I was able to add the Reminders to the Bookmarks menu. Open bookmarks and click on the pencil in the top right corner, select Reminder List and save.  That has helped tremendously.  I figured it out without any help from QB support...they were useless.

I don't see a reminder list an option in my bookmarks toolbar. Does it have another name?

I had called QBO support about the loss of the to do/reminder widget a month or two ago, when they switched me to the new interface. They recommended switching back to the old interface since it wasn't available in the new one. I told them it was one of the most useful widgets, but so much for listening to its customers. I went back to the old interface, but apparently they forced me into the new one as of 10/1. I don't see an option to go back.

As an aside, I don't like the new interface because it's way too busy and tries to force a lot of info and options at me that I frankly don't need, certainly not at the expense of a simple reminder widget. I have to say QBO's upgrades over the past couple of years has made the product less user friendly. I don't think pushing AI onto us is going to cure that issue either.
