Do more with QuickBooks

Hello - what is the correct process to follow when allocating inventory items to a particular job (for job costing purposes).... but you do not want those items to appear on the invoice... but still want your inventory levels to reflect the correct quantities? We are a construction company, and our customers accept quotes for the total project costs.We invoice the customer the quoted price (ie: $10,000 for a project/renovation), and then use materials out of our inventory to complete the work.   How do I post entries within QB Desktop to reflect the materials used for a particular job (DR: cost of goods sold,  CR: Inventory), but not have the program create the sales side of the transaction? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello Community and Intuit Representatives,I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction as a paying QuickBooks Online customer. My company, Lehman Construction, pays a significant amount for this service, but the user experience has become incredibly frustrating due to constant, intrusive pop-ups and advertisements for upgrades.It's nearly impossible to navigate the system to pull basic reports (as seen in the screenshot attached to my feedback submission) without having to dismiss multiple ads. This is not the "heavy lifting" or "better" service I signed up for. Instead of saving me time, these interruptions are a major time-sink.Are other users experiencing this? Is there a way to permanently disable these sales pitches?Intuit, please listen to your paying customers. These windows depicting people at a computer and suggesting I learn about this or that are constantly popping up while I am trying to work. The pop up window blocks my task bar and 2or 3 times out of 10 won't close- no matter how many times I click on "Maybe Later". This forces me to completely close the program to get rid of it, so I can work.  This is beyond annoying.  Then the same suggestions keep popping up with no way to say "No Thank You" or "Don't show me this again" I guess the marketing genius's at Intuit believe we don't know our own minds?  I work freelance with over 20 company files, so I have to go through this with every company I open -multiple closing the program throughout the day. Please Intuit- Can you fix this?

I just upgraded to Quickbooks Plus from Simple Start in order to use Purchase Orders. The issue I find now is that Purchase Orders are used to track expenses from Vendors. That is not my use case. I am the vendor. I have customers issue PO's to me for products that I produce for them. I need a method to input these PO's from customers as I receive them. Sometimes the orders are large and I will send the customer partials, but not bill out the job until completion. I also need a method to track this so I can generate reports detailing all the open PO's I have and what has been sent already and what is still left to complete. Could someone offer any suggestions as to how to go about this as vendor? Do I even need to use QB Plus if I am not a vendor in order to do this? Thanks in advance for any insight. Gus

Hi We upgraded from Desktop to online version back in Feb. We run our payroll in Bright Pay and are trying to integrate, thus bring the payroll journal across. When I try to create the journal, a asked to login into QBks which it does but then I get a QBK screen asking which  payroll I want to select but it wont let me choose and defaults to  Advance payroll, I am told by support this is because we once subscribed to use Qbks own payroll therefore this seems to be hangover from 2016 when we were going to try QBks own payroll, which we then decided not to use. Has anyone else had this problem or can someone tell me how to get rid of the Advanced Payroll tag withing QBks.

I received a notification that a client paid an invoice 6 weeks ago but the money has yet to show up in QB checking account. I have spent over 40 hours on the phone with support but they are useless. I think my only option at this poling is to file a complaint or take legal action. I have screenshots from the client showing the payment has cleared. What else can be done?

WHY ?  Why change them.  I add products, I have blank lines in between my products to keep them grouped.. click save and TADA it removes every blank line.  Useless. Utterly useless company.

Mortgage interest and utilities entered as expense transactions for Home office get pulled through into the calculator, but repairs and maintenance (home office) and a few others do not.

What gives?
