CPP Deductions in employee record

I have downloaded the new updates for payroll, but the employees' files are not showing the rate of CPP for the company or employee. It lists Company QPP YTD, Employee QPP YTD, Second Company QPP YTD, and Second Employee QPP YTD (all not active). Canada Pension Plan is checked off on the left and Alberta is chosen as the proper tax table. Should the CPP show on each employee's info?

In regards to taxes. Do we charge taxes on labour for plumbing?

I tried to purge a company less than 60 days old, but the Payroll data did not purge. This was my main reason for purging, how do I wipe all payroll data?

I was having issues after converting a client over to QBO from QBD. Their account was less than 90 days old (less than 60 days actually). I purged the company but none of the payroll data was deleted. I want to start from scratch as payroll was the main source of my issues. How can I remove this data?

Does labor you paid show up as cost of services sold or do you have to manually enter it as an expense?

If I pay an employee it doesn't show up as cost of services sold, do I need to add manually or am I just missing something?thanks!

I would like to add a payroll distribution contribution item and map the item to the distribution account on the general ledger.  When I add it as a pay item, it doesn't give me the option to make the item tax exempt.It doesn't give me the option to add a different contribution item than what it is in the drop down item list.Please help!Leigh
