The way in which you categorize the company shirts will depend on what their specific purpose is. If these shirts are for promotional purposes, then advertising would be a good fit, while if they're uniforms for staff then they're probably better off being categorized into an office expense account. I recommend reaching out to your accountant about how to post these items, as they can ensure that the transaction is categorized in the way that best suits your business needs. You can invite an accountant to view your QuickBooks Online company by going to the My Accountant tab from the left hand menu. If you're not working with an accountant already, you can use the Find a pro to help option to search for a QuickBooks certified Pro Advisor to in your area.
