Offering products and services at a discount is a great business idea! As we approach Black Friday, perhaps you're looking for ways to entice your customers with a great sale on your goods. QuickBooks Online allows you to give your customers discounts in either a percentage (%) or dollar amount ($). I'll explain how below.
The first step is to turn on the discount setting. To do that, follow these steps:
1. Click the Gear icon.
2. Select Account and Settings.
3. Click Sales.
4. In the Sales form content section, click the small Pencil icon in the top right to edit.
5. Check off the box next to Discount.
6. Click Save.
7. Click Done.
Now you're ready to enter discounts on your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts. When you create a sales transaction, you'll see the Discount field located at the bottom right-hand side of the page, above the totals. You can opt to enter a percentage or dollar amount, reducing your total.
I hope this helps you get back on track. If you have any other questions about this, please let me know.
Have a wonderful day!
