Just submitted my second VAT return on QB Desktop using MTD. However, I didn't check the option to raise a bill for payment... VAT Control account thinks VAT has been paid. I can see the VAT journal in Accounts Payable which of couse is not yet marked as PAID. How do I (effectively) enter a bill and pay it from the current account? Or is there another way to achieve the same end? Thank you.
I want to change my direct debit info
Hi there - I was wondering if there was a way to stop the app asking me if I want to set up mileage tracking every couple of days? It is becoming annoying to the point that I may stop using the app altogether. I don't do any mileage for work, and I don't want the app tracking my movements, although I am sure you would love the data! I can tell it I am not interested, but a couple of days later when I open the app it asks me again. Thanks

Hi I've just signed up for Online Self Employed with a view to using it for my home finances. The problem is that I think I've ended up on the US site instead of the UK one. When I search banks it has some but with others it's taking me to the US version. Also, can I merge 2 accounts? For some reason QB thinks I've already signed up with my email address and when I tried to reset the password to that account it took me via an old email address that I stopped using years ago. In order to get around this I set up another email address just to use for QB but it's now all got too confusing. Is there a way I can link the accounts together so I can just use my main email address? Can anyone help please?
I currently send clients an invoice and steer them towards payment via BACS to reduce fees. We ask for a 50% deposit and then balance a little while later. All of these payments then need to be reconciled within Quickbooks, which is time-consuming and a pain. Is it possible to somehow direct clients to pay via Stripe and for that payment to be matched up against a particular invoice?
I have multiple templates setup for e-mail but I don't know how to change the actual template when I go to send out the e-mail for different customers. For instance, I have one template for invoices that are installations and another template for invoices that are services. I also have a template setup for overdue invoices but I don't know how to go about sending the e-mail with a different template for each one. I have Quickbooks Desktop.
I am planning to close my business and want to run the final payroll for a different period than that set up in my payroll schedule, ie up to the last day on the close of the business. Can you
I am new to Quickbooks Online, I am a sole trader and VAT registered. I am really confused by the various threads about how to record drawings. I have set up an owners draw as an equity account. Can someone give me the step by step process for entering the transaction? I've seen some suggestions it should be a journal entry, another a transfer, another an expense and finally a purchase transaction. Which is it? Thanks so much
