After categorizing expenses in my connected accounts, why won't they show in my chart of accounts?

Hi there amr5,

It's vital that all your transactions be entered correctly for your books to be balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you save time with data entry by having the possibility to import transactions from various banks. I can provide some information about transactions imported.

Once transactions are imported, they are then in the For review tab to be categorized. Once they've been categorized, they should affect your accounts in the chart of accounts, but if they are yet to be categorized, they won't have an effect on your books.

If your transactions still don't affect your books after they've been reviewed in the banking tab, then I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Online support team outside of the Community. They'll be able to check your transactions with you in a secure environment in order to help you to get them to show in your books. You can reach them using these methods:

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?)Help in the upper right > type and enter "Contact support" into the QB Assistant > click Contact Us > explain your situation > click Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook and Twitter
