I just connected Commerce Sync in Quickbooks. When I go into the Apps tab, beside the apps I have, the option that shows is “Launch”.

does this mean I need to press this to activate them?

Yes. You need to connect it QBO. As an additional option, use a backup restore app before connecting the apps.
