How do i stop QB from automatically entering a payee name on the bank transactions list? (it is often wrong)

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  QuickBooks Online provides an option to prefill forms with previous data when recording transactions.  This feature can be turned off at any time. I would be happy to show you how!

Follow these steps to turn off automation;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Account and settings

2. From the Advanced tab, select the Edit 📝 for the Automation section

3. Turn off Pre-fill forms with previously entered content

4. Hit Save, then Done.
