How do you go back to desktop after changing to online version? to use multiple A/P accounts i have to do journal entries. More work now than with the desktop version.

To answer the other question I did the migration on May 5th.   I have QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2024 (the final desktop version released). I have maintained an active subscription and kept it up to date. According to your support team, I am able to continue using the desktop version because my subscription was never cancelled.

Rather than transferring data back from QuickBooks Online, I will simply re-enter the transactions in Desktop. Fortunately, I only entered approximately 12 transactions before realizing the platform limitations, so there is very little to recreate. I would have processed more activity, but I stopped once it became clear that QuickBooks Online was not suitable for our needs — even with the Advanced subscription.

Your online sales team needs to be much clearer about the limitations of QuickBooks Online before customers migrate. For example:

• Workers’ Compensation functionality is only supported for BC, Ontario, and Quebec, not all provinces.
• Only one Accounts Payable account is supported.
• Several accounting workflows require manual journal entries to work around system limitations.

After only a few transactions, it became obvious that my workload would increase significantly because I would constantly need to create correcting journal entries to compensate for the limitations of the online platform.
