How to Enter Authorized T1213 in QBO

Hello,

I have yet to find an answer to this, but I am unable to find the correct way to enter in an authorized T1213 deduction for employees. Is the only way to do this by adding the total to the TD1 amounts on the tax withholding section? If anyone ever had to deal with this on QBO do let me know

Hi there, Brace. QuickBooks Online (QBO) strictly follows the standard CRA statutory deduction settings and does not support direct data entry for form T1213. Please keep in mind that TD1 and T1213 are seperate tax documents, thus adding the total to the TD1 amounts may lead to innacurate tax withholding.

For now, tax reductions can be manually calculated and applied according to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) requirements. If you need further assistance, you can consult with a payroll tax professional.

If you have further questions while handling your T1213, you can consult with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) directly.

That’s quite frustrating then. Hopefully quickbooks will fix this soon
