I had my gear icon on down at the bottom but its gone can you please put it back

Hi, 3185. I see that you seem to have had a Gear icon at the bottom of your screen, and I’d like to clarify a few things about it. Could you let me know which software version of QuickBooks you’re using, is it Online via a web browser, the Online app, or Desktop? Is there a specific page within your QuickBooks where the Gear icon used to appear at the bottom? If possible, please attach a screenshot with an arrow pointing to where you used to see it. This will help us address the issue properly.

If you’re referring to perform an online backup in QuickBooks Online Advanced using a browser or the Online app, the Gear icon is always located at the top-right corner. From there, go to the Tools section, choose Backup Company, and click Run Manual Backup.

If the Gear icon is missing, please log out and login back into your account and use an incognito window or another supported browser to check if it’s a browser-related issue.

If you’re using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), please specify the page where you previously saw the Gear icon, as the Desktop version does not have a Gear icon on the toolbar or home page. To do a manual online backup within QBDT, go to File > Backup Company > Set Up/Activate Online Backup or Create Local Backup.
