Knowing what's going in your account is essential to keep control of your books. With QuickBooks Online, it has never been easier to run and monitor your business. I'll be happy to show you how to handle this.
QuickBooks Online keeps records of every move you and other users in the account make, for your reference. You simply have to access the Audit log feature under the section Tools after going on the Gear icon, to view this information. The Audit log is one of my favorite features when it comes to tracking down a specific aspect of interest, so I strongly recommend exploring it to view any record of editing in your settings. To learn more about the audit log, here's an article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online
In case there's no evidence from the Audit log showing that your business number was removed by you or a user, it could be a browser issue causing this to happen. Temporary internet files that accumulate in your browser can sometimes cause bugs in the software. To ensure your app or browser is running the program as designed, I recommend following the troubleshooting steps in this article: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online
