You don't need to download anything. You can access your QBO account anytime anywhere as long as you have a reliable internet connection.

QuickBooks Desktop is the go-to program for business owners and accountants to complete their daily tasks. After backing up your company files and setting up QuickBooks on your laptop, you can start back up and migrate information. Most of the information will be transferred automatically. However, there is some information that won't convert, will need to be manually re-added after migration.

having access to your account in different places is very convenient. Especially now that we have our laptops and can work from any where.

I have some great news for you. You don't need to add your home computer to be able to access QuickBooks Online (QBO) in both locations. QBO is a web based program, so as long as both computers are connected to the internet, you can access your account through this link: https://qbo.intuit.com/qbo19/login?webredir.
